Dear Parents

ATTENDANCE: If this is your child's first time at giving Track & Field a try, we highly encourage that you let your child come to 3-4 practices before signing him/her up. As we realize families and athletes are very busy we do not make practices or meets mandatory but we do encourage at least an 80% participation for the season. If for some reason your athlete will not be attending a particular meet, especially the Qualifying meet or the Championship meet due to vacation, illness, etc. please notify us as soon as possible as this helps us to plan events and relays.

UNIFORMS: Panther uniform track shirts will be distributed at a practice in June. Athletes need to purchase their own shorts (yellow/gold). Gee & Bee Sporting Goods (Auburn - they are usually prepared for us!) or other sporting goods stores should have this color. BUY YOUR SHORTS EARLY. It is important that, if at all possible, parents are available when uniforms are being issued to insure proper fittings. Special track shoes are not required and we usually only recommend special track shoes to those children who have been participating in track for awhile. Regular light weight sneakers are recommended.

COACHING: If you plan to attend the practices and or meets this season and would like to be a permanent part of the coaching team please let us know. Everyone is welcome to coach.
